ELIZABETH GOLDING is a familiar face on Sunday mornings, regularly at the Lectern reading with her family. Like her elder brother Elizabeth hopes to follow a career in Medicine and she too will have to meet a challenge to ensure a chance at medical school. Elizabeth spoke eloquently at both Masses this weekend about her intention visit India in January with the team from Blackburn, an East Lancashire voluntary group  that travel to India to operate on children and adults with cleft lip and palate deformities, free of charge. She has already covered her expenses and raised over £2.000 towards the cost of surgery for needy people. Each operation costs about £200.  If you could feel that you could make a contribution however small to this very worthy cause please consider it . Contact Father Price for more details. On her return arrangements will be made for her to give us a report on this exciting venture. There will also be a display of photographs of the trip.
